Chat Rules

Spam:
Excessive messages or characters that unnecessarily flood the chat are considered spam. This includes countdowns over 5, more than 8 of the same character in a row, sending the same message repeatedly, sending copypastas, and keyboard smash messages.

Player Disrespect:
Insults and disrespect directed at another player regarding them as a person and/or aspects of their life. We want to create a comfortable, non-toxic environment for everyone and disrespectful comments that disrupt that will be punished.

Server/Staff Disrespect:
Disrespect to the staff or server is not tolerated, we have implemented ways to hear feedback & suggestions that are more constructive than being disrespectful. If you have an issue with a staff member, please make a Staff report ticket.

Discrimination:
Any form of discrimination is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to; xenophobia, homophobia, racism, ableism, and transphobia.

Death/Rape Threats:
Any jokes or actions insinuating that you will put that person in danger or hurt them are prohibited. This includes any threats and jokes about IRL harm. Adding things like "jk" or "in-game" after these comments do not evade the punishment.

Advertising:
Using SkywardMC as a platform for advertising other Minecraft or Discord servers, or social media accounts and content is not allowed. This includes your servers/accounts and others' servers/accounts. If you have discussed a media partnership with the server administration and/or management, you may promote your content (adhering to the guidelines of the agreement).

Sexual Comments:
Sexual jokes, comments, and advances are not allowed. This includes innuendos as well as direct statements. Instances of inappropriate behaviour will be taken seriously and could lead to severe punishment.

Death/Rape Wishes:
Saying that you hope others or the people they know IRL get killed, raped, or otherwise severely harmed IRL will not be tolerated. This includes genuine wishes and jokes. Adding things like "jk" or "in-game" after these comments do not evade the punishment.

Suicide Encouragement:
Any jokes about suicide or self-harm, and/or telling someone to harm themselves irl are not allowed and will result in a punishment. Adding things like "jk" or "in-game" after these comments do not evade the punishment.

Links:
All links sent in chat must be official server links. Modifying the link to evade the chat filter and/or make it unclickable is still considered punishable under this rule (ex. "website dot com").

Doxxing/DDoS & Involvement:
Jokes, threats, attempts, or involvement with doxxing, swatting, or DDos will not be tolerated. To ensure the safety of everyone on the server, this includes fake leaking of fictional addresses or other information. Any comments related to revealing someone else's private information will be taken very seriously.

Impersonation:
Impersonating staff members is not allowed. Any false claims to be a staff member on your main or alternate accounts will be punished under this rule.

Trolling:
Any attempts to borderline break the rules for the sake of evading punishments are punishable under this rule. This does not include accidents or one-time instances but rather addresses persistent technical evasions of the rules for the sake of causing annoyances or disruptions.

Toxicity:
General and/or consistent toxicity towards the server, players, or staff members is prohibited. This includes passive-aggressiveness, excessive negativity without the intent of constructive criticism, excessive or severe accusations about other players, and intentionally starting arguments.

Leaking Personal Information:
Sharing your own personal information is discouraged. You are welcome to share your name, age and some information about yourself. Your Credit card number, address, phone number, etc should not be sent in the main chat for others to see. Please keep your personal information safe.

Controversial Topics:

Discussions about controversial topics like politics, religion, etc. are not allowed. This is to keep everyone comfortable on the server and avoid unnecessary conflict.

In Game Rules

The management team reserves the right to assign punishments that may deviate from the list. Severe rule violations may result in a community disruption ban or blacklist.

Inappropriate Builds:

Any builds that display discriminatory symbols, or messages, or are considered inappropriate will be removed and are not allowed to be built.

Griefing:

The use of explosives, lava, or waterfalling to break or ruin a player's claim is defined as griefing and will be removed. Intentionally claiming outside of another player’s claim may result in your claim being removed.

Cheating:

The use of any modifications that are not approved to gain an unfair advantage against other players, scripting, abuse of any bugs in-game, using a hacked client, or the use of printer or AI to control your game is prohibited.

Casinos:

The making of casinos, using casinos, or similar to gambling is prohibited by Minecraft’s EULA and is not allowed on the server. Any builds will be removed. This includes making a game that requires a form of currency to play.

Nickname Abuse:

Misuse of the permission for nicknaming yourself in-game intending to impersonate another member for them to be breaking rules or changing your nickname to anything discriminatory or inappropriate may lead to punishments and removal of the permission.

Scamming:

Scamming another player by using “mystery boxes”, renaming items to what they are not, or selling them something that does not match its advertised description, is not allowed.

TP Trapping/Killing:

Using the permissions of /tpa to force players into a trap that will kill them, modifying the terrain intending to kill a player with a false floor, or doing anything that will result in a player’s death outside of listed PVP areas, is not allowed.

Lag Machines:

Creating a machine with intent to lag the server, or the use of flying machines is not allowed

IRL Trading:

Trading in-game items for out-of-game benefits is not tolerated. The only method for purchasing in-game items should be through skywardmc.com/store, the gear shop, or in-game from other players using in-game currency or items. Any IRL Trading is discouraged and any items or money lost in an IRL trade transaction will not be refunded.

Inappropriate Skin/IGN:

All usernames and player skins should be appropriate and not offensive or discriminatory.

Punishment Evasion:

The use of an alternative account to evade a punishment is not allowed, your alternate account will receive the same punishment duration as the original account that broke the rules.

Fake Evidence:

The submission of fake evidence in a ticket to report another player or attempt to retrieve lost items is prohibited. If you are found to have evidence that has been altered or modified in order to change the results, you may be removed from the server entirely.

Chargebacks:

Any chargebacks from the store will result in a ban from Tebex, this will also result in a ban on our side as they are our store provider. Items that are chargebacked will be removed from your account or the account they were sent to.

Spambotting/Server Botting:

The use of alt accounts, or a client to spam the server chat with messages, or taking up slots in the server lobby due to bot accounts, is strictly prohibited.

Inappropriate Claim Name:

All claim/plot names should be appropriate and not offensive. Any claim names that break this rule will be changed. Claim owner will be punished for this, if your claim has an offensive name and you are not the owner, you will not be punished.

Block Glitching:

Block glitching to get to unintended places is prohibited. Use of this in spawn or the hub will not result in a punishment unless it is used to pass barriers.
